European Policy for Innovation, Transformation and Employment

PROGRAM CONFERENCE in BRUSSELS
Europe must work together to dismantle barriers and foster innovation. The reports of Mr. Draghi and Mr. Letta emphasize that fragmentation and differing national regulations hinder the transfer, scaling, and commercialization of new technologies.
Closer European coordination with less bureaucracy, clearer priorities, and pooled investments is essential to strengthen Europe’s position in international competition with the United States and China and to better leverage Europe’s technological potential.
Joint programmes, harmonized funding instruments, and a more integrated single market can accelerate the impact of innovation, facilitate business growth, and keep value creation within Europe. At the same time, more coherent, innovation-friendly regulation and a more strategically aligned EU budget will create the foundation for a stronger and more effective European innovation ecosystem. This conference aims to assess what actions the EU must take to fully harness these vital opportunities.
To advance public discourse on innovation policy and enhance the conference, the Alliance will present a position paper on ‘European Policy for Innovation, Transformation and Employment’.
