Euro­päi­sche Indus­trie­po­li­tik für Wett­be­werbs­fä­hig­keit und Wandel

Es müs­sen wich­ti­ge Ent­schei­dun­gen für die Ent­wick­lung der euro­päi­schen Indus­trie getrof­fen wer­den. Daher begrü­ßen wir, die Alli­anz für die Zukunft der Indus­trie, die Ent­schei­dung der neu­en Euro­päi­schen Kom­mis­si­on, die Wett­be­werbs­fä­hig­keit neben dem Kli­ma­schutz in den Mit­tel­punkt ihrer Agen­da zu stel­len. Die Ver­wirk­li­chung der grü­nen Trans­for­ma­ti­on in Euro­pa darf nicht auf Kos­ten der indus­tri­el­len Stär­ke und der wirt­schaft­li­chen Wider­stands­fä­hig­keit gehen. Sie müs­sen statt­des­sen zusam­men gedacht wer­de. Der Clean Indus­tri­al Deal (CID) stellt eine wich­ti­ge Gele­gen­heit dar, die­ses Gleich­ge­wicht her­zu­stel­len, indem er sowohl die Umwelt- als auch die Wett­be­werbs­her­aus­for­de­run­gen für die euro­päi­sche Indus­trie angeht. 

Wie im Draghi-Bericht her­vor­ge­ho­ben wird, ist die Auf­recht­erhal­tung einer star­ken indus­tri­el­len Basis ent­schei­dend für die wirt­schaft­li­che Sou­ve­rä­ni­tät Euro­pas und sei­ne lang­fris­ti­ge Wett­be­werbs­fä­hig­keit auf der Welt­büh­ne. Die CID soll­te daher so kon­zi­piert sein, dass sie eine wett­be­werbs­fä­hi­ge und wider­stands­fä­hi­ge euro­päi­sche Indus­trie unter­stützt, die nach­hal­ti­ges Wachs­tum för­dert und gleich­zei­tig unse­re Posi­ti­on auf den glo­ba­len Märk­ten stärkt.

Die Alli­anz für die Zukunft der Indus­trie wur­de im März 2015 in Deutsch­land gegrün­det und besteht aus ins­ge­samt 19 Part­nern. Dazu gehö­ren die drei Grün­dungs­in­sti­tu­tio­nen, das Bun­des­mi­nis­te­ri­um für Wirt­schaft und Kli­ma­schutz (BMWK), der Bun­des­ver­band der Deut­schen Indus­trie (BDI) und die Indus­trie­ge­werk­schaft Metall (IG Metall), sowie die gro­ßen deut­schen Wirt­schafts- und Indus­trie­ver­bän­de, Indus­trie­ge­werk­schaf­ten und der Deut­sche Gewerkschaftsbund.

In Zusam­men­ar­beit mit Poli­tik, Wirt­schafts­ver­bän­den und Gewerk­schaf­ten dis­ku­tiert das Bünd­nis natio­na­le und euro­päi­sche Rah­men­be­din­gun­gen zur För­de­rung von indus­tri­el­ler Wert­schöp­fung und Beschäf­ti­gung, strebt kon­kre­te Ver­ein­ba­run­gen an und defi­niert prio­ri­tä­re Maß­nah­men zur Stär­kung der indus­tri­el­len Wett­be­werbs­fä­hig­keit. Wir freu­en uns auf die Dis­kus­si­on der euro­päi­schen Poli­ti­ken, die zur Stär­kung der indus­tri­el­len Wett­be­werbs­fä­hig­keit und der Beschäf­ti­gung not­wen­dig sind.

Euro­pean indus­tri­al poli­cy for com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness and transformation

Key decis­i­ons for the deve­lo­p­ment of the Euro­pean indus­try must be taken. The­r­e­fo­re, we the Alli­ance for the Future of Indus­try wel­co­me the inco­ming Euro­pean Commission’s decis­i­on to place com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness along­side cli­ma­te ambi­ti­on at the core of its agen­da. Achie­ving Europe’s green tran­si­ti­on can­not come at the expen­se of indus­tri­al strength and eco­no­mic resi­li­ence. Ins­tead, they must go tog­e­ther. The Clean Indus­tri­al Deal (CID) repres­ents a vital oppor­tu­ni­ty to strike this balan­ce, addres­sing both the envi­ron­men­tal and com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness chal­lenges faced by Euro­pean industry.

As high­ligh­ted in the Draghi report, main­tai­ning a strong indus­tri­al base is cru­cial for Europe’s eco­no­mic sove­reig­n­ty and long-term com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness on the glo­bal stage. The CID should, the­r­e­fo­re, be desi­gned to sup­port a com­pe­ti­ti­ve and resi­li­ent Euro­pean indus­try that dri­ves sus­tainable growth while enhan­cing our posi­ti­on in glo­bal markets.

Estab­lished in Ger­ma­ny in March 2015 the Alli­ance for the Future of Indus­try con­sists of a total of 19 Part­ners. The­se include the three foun­ding insti­tu­ti­ons, the Ger­man Fede­ral Minis­try for Eco­no­mic Affairs and Cli­ma­te Action (BMWK), the fede­ra­ti­on of Ger­man Indus­tries (BDI) and the Ger­man Metal­wor­kers’ Uni­on (IG Metall), as well as the major Ger­man busi­ness and indus­try asso­cia­ti­ons, indus­tri­al uni­ons and the Ger­man Trade Uni­on Federation.

In coope­ra­ti­on with poli­tics, busi­ness asso­cia­ti­ons and trade uni­ons, the Alli­ance dis­cus­ses natio­nal and Euro­pean frame­work con­di­ti­ons in such a way as to pro­mo­te indus­tri­al value crea­ti­on and employ­ment, aims to reach spe­ci­fic agree­ments and defi­ne prio­ri­ty mea­su­res in order to streng­then indus­tri­al com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness. We are loo­king for­ward to dis­cuss the Euro­pean poli­ci­es neces­sa­ry to enhan­ce indus­tri­al com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness and employment
